Kenneth Anger frequently changes the soundtracks to his films. The original soundtrack to 1949's "Puce Moment" was the Overture to Verdi's opera "I Villi". In 1966 Anger added a new soundtrack consisting of an intriguing folk-rock score by the otherwise unknown Jonathan Halper.

"Scorpio Rising" is a true representation of the soundtrack to the film and includes all the motorcycle sounds, dialogue, and sound effects on top of the pop songs.
