Teen-Beat 432

Teen-Beat Graphica Exhibition

An exhibition of the design and art from the portfolio of Mark Robinson and Teen-Beat Graphica. The idea for the event came from Lump Gallery curator/owner Bill Thelen, who started talking to Mark about having a Teen-Beat gallery event three or four years before it became reality. In preparation for the event, the walls were painted orange the day before the opening. The artwork was hung (taped) on the wall throughout most of the day before the opening at 7:00 p.m. The show featured Teen-Beat Graphica design work and photography from 1984 through 2007. High resolution prints of records, compact disques, posters, postcards, and more were displayed. Jonny Cohen and Mark Robinson performed both solo and as a duo during the opening. Jonny's "Eat Up All Your Food" was a particular crowd favorite. A film of the event is featured below.
