BIOGRAPHY
Years before the Jerky Boys became popular, a teenager in the Washington, D.C. suburbs was having telephone fun with unsuspecting talk radio hosts. These prank calls were made between 1979 and 1994 and span The Screamer's entire 'career.'
He angered and upset quite a few radio (later TV) personalities, including Sally Jesse Raphael, John McLaughlin (The McLaughlin Group), Jerry Springer, entrepreneurial expert Bruce Williams, PBS host Charlie Rose, author Kurt Vonnegut, and actors Stephanie Powers and Robert Wagner (Hart to Hart) and many more. All of these are included here on Greatest Hits. There are also calls to Christian talk radio and a member of the Battlestar Gallactica cast. Most of the calls were made from the Washington, DC area while a minority area take place in Boston (when the Screamer was at college).
You should listen to this CD with care, because you might need to call a doctor about your stomach cramps from laughing so hard. Absolutely hilarious.
This is the first prank call/spoken word/comedy CD Teenbeat has released since the 1988 introduction of THE TUBE BAR.
The Screamer is available for interviews - albeit anonymously.
