While the title is "Sixteen Songs" and there are 16 songs listed on the cassette insert, the album consists of 18 tracks.

One of the extra tracks is an unfinished version of "Niagara Falls is Frozen."

Two drum machines were used on the recording. One was Mark Robinson's Acetone Rhythm Ace, and the other, a Linn Drum Computer borrowed from James Nobel, from the band Romania.

Letsrain had moved down the street to a different address (5316 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia) by the time of this recording. The future site of Teen-Beat 267.
